I did all mentioned above plus deleted my wow/cache dir, replaced the Blizzard Entertainment dir in c:/programdata again, released and renewed ip, flushed dns (many people on other forums seem to suggest this is some client side issue. I solved the issue by allowing the game to communicate on public networks in windows firewall settings, then restarted Battlenet and launched from the MWII application.
